But this book is GOOD! ( )

I do not even know any other way to start this review other than to say that I just absolutely loved this book!! I have been a devoted reader of Becky Wade's books for years and loved My Stubborn Heart and the Porter Family series, but she has outdone herself this time! I think what I appreciated most was the relationship between two unlikely characters (a former Navy Seal and a book-loving genealogist) that she makes so believable. Nora and John meet when John decides to look for information on his biological parents due to an inherited condition he is diagnosed with and hires Nora to help him in his search. As the search continues and their relationship is developing, they deal with family secrets, guarded hearts due to former heartbreaks, etc. No spoilers here, but there is quite the plot twist at the end. Readers also get to know a little more about the other two Bradford sisters as well in this novel and I really look forward to reading their stories as this series continues.

Becky Wade is a wonderfully talented author of contemporary inspirational romance. The characterizations and storylines are fresh and captivating, layered and nuanced. "True to You", Book One in the "Bradford Sisters Romance" series, is a classic opposites attract tale made new and appealing with its unique twists and turns. Nora Bradford is a genealogist and owner of a historical village who dedicates herself to her work and her love of books. Losing herself between the pages is preferable to dealing with the heartaches of real life. John Lawson is a former Navy Seal who is very much a man of the modern world. When John becomes diagnosed with a hereditary health condition, however, he must look to the past and beyond his adoptive family to seek answers that may bring much needed help for his concerns. Nora is just the person to help John in his quest, and spending time in each other's company brings a new light and hope for the future to both their lives. When all truths are revealed, can a great leap of faith bridge the gap between the past and the present? Highly recommended for lovers of heartwarming, uplifting contemporary romance.

I enjoyed this story very much. The characters, Nora and John were vivid with real problems and I liked how they met and eventually fell in love. This was my first Wade book, and I will read more for sure. Great writing and plot line. ( )

I love this book!! I love the story and I love the fact that the main character is a genealogist and a historian. This book was one after my own heart. As a historian and genealogist, I was so excited to read this book and see how well Becky Wade portrayed the character. Spot on by the way. Also I loved the prequel that came out right before this book. I couldn't put this book down and finished it in one day!!! Thanks netgalley and Bethany house for the advanced copy. ( )
