Lädt ... The Unstoppable Wasp Vol. 1: Unstoppable!von Jeremy Whitley, Elsa Charretier (Illustrator), Elsa Charretier (Illustrator)

But I really struggled to follow what was happening (particularly the last section, which didn't appear to fit with the previous ones -- there was some large jump and I have no idea whether that means that something is going to be talked about later or not). And I found it exhausting to read. I have no idea whether the pages are busier than the standard comics that I read, or if I'm just tired, but I really struggled to track what was important and what was background. This wasn't helped by the characters behaving incomprehensibly, and many of the emotional beats being off. The viewpoint character, Nadia Pym, is exhuberant and extroverted and does not understand the American culture. She seems too naive to have come out of a Red Room training facility, too emotionally uncontrolled. Maybe I'm projecting my own expectations there. Extrapolating from the range of Russians I've met to the kind of person I'd expect to come out of an assassin training scheme with that emotional background might just be taking things a bit too far. Nadia is-- whew. That was sorta tiring to read. ‘Cause she has so much energy and somehow Whitely and co. Wrote/drew the book so well that I could practically feel that through the pages. Whitely was the reason I wanted to read this, I like Princeless and I love Raven Pirate Princess, and so I thought I’d give this a try. And I’m glad I did. Nadia is rounding up fellow teenage girls after being inspired by Mockingbird, so they can all do Science and Engineering together and make the world better. But she also has her best friend (sorta) from the Red Room after her to take her back. It was really cool. The Ms. Marvel and Mockingbird stuff was very cool too. And the Nadia and Jarvis stuff was hilarious and in the final story, the Janet/Nadia stuff was amazing. Very cool TPB. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
