I placed this on hold from my library without knowing it was shelved in the teen section. But in a way that makes sense as Bernie's plainspoken and conversational style fits for anyone who has even a cursory understanding of current events. It's topical in covering the economy, healthcare, education, the environment, social justice, and immigration. And he diagnosis them in terms that anyone can understand. As a bonus, he focuses on the moral implications of these things in a way that fits anyone regardless of what their political ideology is. The infographics are cool but what's especially great is the listing of the different organizations that cover these problems. Highly recommended. (

This basically reads as Sanders' campaign platform for 2016 and 2020. I think there were about 2 sentences that I agreed with Bernie Sanders on in the entire book. Everything else, I absolutely oppose his proposed solutions. Many things he mentions as problems, I see as symptoms of a root problem that needs to be addressed. Also, his use of numbers and statistics makes me question whether he is using them correctly and where the studies and such came from. (

this book fucking owned and it's insane to me that a presidential candidate released this like it really was a different approach to politics based in movement building. insane missed opportunity, could've been a whole different world. (
