One day in the forest a mother coyote gives birth to four coyote pups. They all are named for their unique abilities. They were named Pounce, Swift, and Star. The first pup was the best hunter of mice and grasshoppers and was named Pounce. The second pup was long-legged and could out run his sister so he was named Swift. The third pup was the color of moonlight and had the most beautiful voice when the pack sang to the moon and she was named Star. The fourth pup was always curious and seemed to find trouble, so his name was Trouble. He decides one day to hop into the truck of the “Makers” even though he is warned to stay away from them. This is where his adventure begins. He must ask for the help of a sly crow and a shy opossum to help him find his way back home. I would recommend this for any collection with fans of animal stories. This is a heartwarming story about a coyote pup that is very curious just as some kids will be and is a natural part of growing up. The story flows and the reader is cheering Trouble on to find his way back home throughout until the end. ( )
