Reunions hold a special place in my heart, so this story, with its reunion of two ex-lovers (the Holy Grail of reunions, so to speak) had me almost pouncing on the pages. Add two cute, slightly dorky men with blinky Christmas sweaters, an almost-catastrophe in the form of a power loss at the airport, and a last-minute rescue by the ex – what a marvelous set of ingredients. Mix in some of Rob Rosen's trademark humor and this was a real winner for me.

Jeff can't wait to make it home for Christmas to see his parents, only to find out, from the cab driver, that all commercial flights are grounded due to a power loss. Undeterred, he makes his way to the airport after calling his dad to give him the bad news, hoping he will find a way around the issues. Slightly disheartened by the mile-long lines, he is shocked when he runs into his ex-lover, David. The awkwardness that ensues is expected, but not so David's offer of sharing the corporate jet that will take off since it has an independent power supply and flight tower.

What follows is even more fun. Awkward small talk (or the attempt) from Jeff's side is followed with some honesty about their past and their reasons for splitting up. Once the air is cleared, both men can get back to renewing their membership in the mile high club – the most successful part of the day so far. That, and the scenes that follow at Jeff's parents' home made this an all-round feel-good read for me.

If you like short stories about slightly dorky men who just needed a reminder of how good they were together to give it another go, if you like reading about little Christmas miracles presented with a tongue in cheek humor, and if you’re looking for a short, fun Christmas-themed read that will make you smile, then give this one a go. I think it's really cute and very entertaining.
