"This was a very good and enjoyable book in the same vein as "Name of the Wind" by Pat Rothfuss. By that I mean it's basically a fantasy story within a story. The characters are engaging and have a full complement of emotions which are portrayed very well. Drama, revenge, intrigue, romance -- all of these and more can be found within the pages of this story. The world is very well detailed and the way the world and magic works is described perfectly -- you really feel as if you are IN the world. The attention to detail shows the author's passion for the world and the characters he created. I do not wish to spoil anything so I don't want to go into detail about the world or the characters, you'll just have to read it yourself (you won't be sorry!). I highly enjoyed this story and can't wait to read more in the Kan Savasci Cycle! Highly recommended!" (
