Max Patkin was a hilarious guy who dreamed of becoming a pitcher in the major leagues and loved making everyone laugh and smile. However, life had a different plan for him. Max struggled with injury after injury which made his minor league team release him. After being released, Max received a call asking him to do his comic routine at a game. From then on out, Max became known as the funniest man in baseball by doing comedy stunts at every major league game. Even though Max didn't get to pitch in the major league, he still had the opportunity to be apart of the major league. This story teaches children that just because things don't go as planned doesn't mean there can't still be a good outcome. ( ) Max Patkin's dream was to become a major-league pitcher. In 1942, he hurt his elbow and became too injured to keep playing baseball. After having surgery to fix his elbow, Max Patkin signed with a minor-league team, the Cleveland Indians. Once again, he got injured and was released by the team. That did not stop Max from being around baseball. He started doing comic routines at major-league baseball games. This is what he became known for. The biography brings the reader through the life of Max Patkin, from before he started playing baseball, through his struggles and injuries, and finally to how he became known as "the funniest man in baseball". I really like this story because it shows that even when things don't go how you expected, there can still be a good outcome. Zeige 2 von 2 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
