I feel that this book will belong in my personal group of favorites. It gives a very compelling lesson on the values of self happiness as well as finding friends. It could be a book used for a child who will be getting a new sibling or moving to a new city. I loved it way of integrating the dog into the story and not letting the reader get bogged down by complex terms. I also appreciated how the book could be used to explain how a young child would have to deal with an arranged marriage. ( )
