Intended for middle grade children, here is a very accessible book about English grammar, that most hated of school subjects. The author clearly explains things like the difference between and adjective and an adverb, or the correct time to use 'who' or 'whom'. There are quizzes at the end of each chapter to build on a student's knowledge. All of the sentence examples deal with kings and castles and dragons (who doesn't love dragons?). This is an excellent supplement to the usual dry school textbook. It is also recommended as a homeschool textbook. Older readers, who barely survived English grammar class, should also read this book. It will help a great deal. Zeige 3 von 3 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen

I read it, and hopefully the result's are coming clear on your end. The lessons were well-spoken, the sample sentences were fun, and the small grammar tests at the end of every chapter made helpful reminders. I can see a middle-school teacher making this a class-reading assignment. While I would've hated my teacher if she made me read this, being that I read it of my own accord, I can say it was... fun (please, don't tell my teacher I said that). Is it worth a shiny-gold medal? I dunno, but I liked it and thought it was very helpful.
Thank you, Mrs. Robinson. ( )
