If you aren’t familiar with the Johnstone westerns or this series in particular, here are the books in the series: Bounty Hunter, Dead Shot, Bloody Sunday, Bad Men Die, Death Rides Alone, Legion of Fire, Burning Daylight and Hired Guns. Each book is a self-contained tale that takes readers on various and often times dangerous journeys of Luke Jensen, Bounty Hunter.
In the latest installment, readers will journey into Luke’s world once again as he is at first trapped by two men he was following and planning on apprehending. Now, he has to find a way to get out of being trapped and keeping away from all the lead that is flying! Then, Luke finds himself once again hired to go after a man for the murder of his son. When Luke arrives at his destination, his life and what he thought was going to occur go right out the window, when he is confronted by a multitude of guns all aimed at him!
What happens in the pages is fast paced and action packed, weaving a multifaceted plot into one nonstop story that will keep readers reading for hours. The one thing I like about the fictional character Luke Jensen is his desire to bring men in alive and then at times having to choose to take an action he deems is necessary as well as unavoidable but not desired. He thinks of others and chooses to do right by others even if it means he loses his pay.
Each story is unique and brings in a plethora of other players that help entertain and delight this reader. I am amazed that the fictional character has ethics and morals. Even though, at times, he suffers unjustly and harshly at the hands of others, Luke remains true to his high standards.
I hope you will read Luke Jensen and his many adventures in the wild west as a bounty hunter! I guarantee you will be glad you did. Then, check out the other fascinating series that capture the imagination of readers for hours of pure pleasure.
