This book had been on my TBR for so long. I couldn't decide if it I wanted to read it or not since age-gap stories are so hit and miss for me. I can say that I wish that I would have moved this up sooner on the list because the author did a good job at not making this creepy and or cheesy.

Full of angst, chemistry, and passion, I felt the draw of these characters. It was age-gap done right. I definitely was invested and it made me want to continue the story. I can only imagine that the author continues the angst buildup through the next books.

It's okay.

Its a trilogy so ends on a cliffhanger.
No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine.
Hero does kiss another woman but stops. ( )

I love Skye Warren. I love all her books and the way that she writes the emotions of her characters. We get characters that you can really feel and relate to. That's no different when it comes to this book. Truly, I felt everything that Liam and Samantha did, and I was so wrapped up in what they were feeling and what they were making me feel.

I love how Liam and Samantha connect, even when they are mad at each other. There is just a cord that binds them together, no matter what. Of course, that cord may be a wee bit thin right now, but I'm not entirely sure that it will ever be able to be broken.

I love that there is a Tanglewood connection, because I love all those characters too. Definitely a great addition to Skye Warren's world. ( )

Overture is about a young girl who, after her father is killed, is taken in and protected by her guardian. She is a musical prodigy and play the violin. Her guardian is attracted to her and is able to keep his distance although as she gets closer to age 18 he has a harder time. She is also attracted to him and doesn't make it easy on him.

The book does not cover a lot of time and ends with a cliffhanger. There are a lot of loose ends to tie up in the next book. I have mixed feelings about this book. I was interested in the idea of a music prodigy story, but was expecting something a little different I guess. I am going to wait with my rating for now.
