Another fantastic issue of Uncanny, this one revolving around themes of war and grief. My favorites were clustered near the front: - "Nice Things" by Ellen Klages, a powerfully written story about grief and bitterness with an ending that literally gave me chills. - "Probability" by John Chu; this is the second story of his I've read this year with a fantastic perspective on parent-child relationships. In this one, Order and Chaos and Life and Death play roles in a kind of coming of age story. - "A Salt and Sterling Tongue" by Emma Osborne addresses the subject of grief and war, and also healing. I loved the positive feel. Zeige 2 von 2 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen

AMAZING POEM IS AMAZING.
Theodora Goss's 'The Cinder Girl Burns Brightly' is definitely worth a read. I totally recommend this one! It's Cinderella with a twist. Read it here. ( )
