( ) A tiny mouse declares that he is a tiger, resisting all of the other animals' efforts to convince him otherwise. When a real tiger shows up, the mouse is not dismayed, still insisting on his own tigrine identity, and declaring that the tiger is actually a mouse. Then, coming to a local pond (or river?), the mouse decides he is Having enjoyed a few of Ross Collins' own books - There's a Bear On My Chair, This Zoo Is Not for You - I knew going into I Am a Tiger that I would find the artwork appealing, and sure enough, the brightly-colored, humorous visuals here had me chuckling. The story itself, on the other hand, didn't quite win me over. I was conscious of this feeling, while reading, that I ought to be amused, but somehow I wasn't. Perhaps I wasn't in the right frame of mind, or perhaps this one wasn't for me, but in the end I found the murine hero here less funny and more annoying, as he tries to convince each of the other animals that they aren't who they think they are. Maybe it's an experiment in psychological warfare? However that may be, this is one I would recommend primarily to Ross Collins fans. How do you know who you are? Are you sure you are not a tiger. A little mouse is absolutely positive that he is a tiger. His friends try to tell him differently, but he is sure in his convictions. This book just just fun. Not only what the mouse believes, but how they see others as well. Its funny and well illustrated, and sure to be a story time staple. Zeige 4 von 4 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
