For some reason, this second entry in the Nameless series appeals to me more than the first. Through following Nameless on his current mission, we learn more about the vague organization he works for, an apparently hacker-based star chamber devoted to dispensing justice to those who are otherwise able to skirt the laws of man. The character of Nameless seems a tad more relatable this time, and his casual ruminations on his mysterious origins carry a level of detachment - due to the character's amnesia - that make him feel more human rather than less. For a long-term Koontz fan, this is his standard quality output. Looking forward to reading more. I’m loving this series! Dean Koontz has created such a unique character. Nameless has no memory of himself nor does he know his name…and he is trained to kill. In this installment, Nameless tracks down a photographer who takes pictures of hikers and tourists he murdered. Nameless’ job is to provide a justice that otherwise may never happen. In the second short-story in the “Nameless” series, we have Nameless (a vigilante nomad) who is sent on missions by the mysterious Ace of Diamonds. This time, Nameless is after Palmer Oxenwald, a murderer who takes pictures of the people he has killed. Will Nameless take down the psychopath? I really enjoyed this fast-paced story. I liked what happened to Palmer in the end. I’m curious to find out more about Ace of Diamonds in future stories in this series. Nameless had some clairvoyant moments in this one as well. Another entertaining read by Dean Koontz. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen

I can’t imagine writing a decent story that can be theoretically read in an hour is easy so still 4 stars. I’m hoping the next one is better. ( )
