"Holly Stanford is doing the best she can with the restaurant she inherited from her late uncle. But after her fiancé abandons her and the business, Holly regrets having given up her dream of becoming a pastry chef. Now a few bad financial decisions might cost her everything, including her hope for the future. Jed Henning has done well with his new company despite his prodigal brother's behavior. When Jed's father, the controlling member of the board of directors, temporarily suspends operations until his sons work out their differences, Jed resentfully chases his brother, Chris, to Boise. There Jed rents a basement apartment from Holly and hopes to convince Chris to get his act together before their company collapses. Unaware that Holly is the one person who can help him get through to Chris, Jed starts the tough work of reconciliation armed with little more than a few family photographs, a stack of old letters, and a Bible that belonged to his great-grandfather, Andrew Henning. And as romance blossoms between Holly and Jed, the story of Jed's great-grandfather highlights the power of God across the generations and the legacy of a family's courageous faith."--Provided by publisher.… (mehr)

I was elated when I found that I'd get to read the third book of this series. I had read book two at its release last year and was eagerly waiting to read this one. I am happy to say that it lived up to my expectations.

I really loved the sections about Andrew Henning. He was so sure in his faith and the way he tackled all that was thrown at him was just plain inspiring.

The one thing that I was disappointed by was the number of cliffhangers that were not wrapped up regarding Chris. I have boatloads of questions for as to how stuff worked out for him and how he figured it out.

All in all, I enjoyed this last book and it was definitely the uplifting read that I had been craving.

The end of an emotional series from Robin Lee Hatcher!

The first book in the Legacy of Faith series, "Who I Am With You" was my first read from Robin Lee Hatcher, and I was hooked on her books.

Andrew's story throughout the series has been such a wonderful historical story, and though it is sad to end the series it was done in a sweet and good way.

Holly's and Jed's story was just as sweet, and the redemption of their story was so very sweet ... This book was well named and the cover is a perfectly adorable fit for the book.

I voluntarily received and reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion. ( )

A dual time line story about love, sacrifice and family. The love stories are tender and sweet. There is also a faith aspect that is encouraging! Holly is a great character! She's determined and loyal. I like her passion for baking! I love to bake too!
A definite must read! ( )

Despite the fact that the blurb does not refer to it, this is distinctly Christian sentiment, which I do not read. As a Christian Romance goes, I found it to be just okay but I would recommend it to people who enjoy this genre.

I would like to thank the publisher for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

I wanted to give this a high rating. And perhaps if I had realized this was a third book in a series, perhaps I would have. However, I felt think book lack pay off and authenticity. Let me explain why.

Stories about the Prodigal Son and the Older Brother are ones that I resonate with. Mostly because I can be that Older Brother in my own personal life. I knew within the first several pages that the story of Jed and Chris would be such story. As a result, I was clamoring for a MAJOR restitution arc/scene and we didn't get that. The book went from brothers being angry, to slowly talking, to four months later, we progress to one of their weddings. I wanted MORE. In fact, the entire ending felt rushed and thrown together. We didn't see the decision of Holly to cease her restaurant. We didn't see Chris and Jed reconcile as I have said. We didn't even fully learn about the business the brothers owned.

Another thing that bothered me. It took place in Boise which I loved being a Boisean myself. And while there was some familiar locations and descriptors, I wanted more. I wanted actual restaurants, street names, etc. It would add to the beauty and the ambiance that Boise is and what Robin Lee Hatcher was trying to go for.

Lastly, the journal entries of the patriarch, Andrew Henning, did not seem to fit in with the story. They were beautiful, yes, but I also feel like they could have stood on their own feet. Especially because they didn't pertain to the Prodigal Son narrative we had going on in the modern timeline. Considering family stories are what I typically read with Karen Kingsbury, Robin Lee Hatcher was slightly at a disadvantage.

But will I give another one a try? Yes.......But as with all Christian fiction, I have to A) be in the mood and B) be wiling to have low expectations for Christian fiction doesn't wow me these days =",,,1,0
