I really loved the concept of this read "secret" person you are talking to and how she turned it on its head. I also love the tie backs to the characters that were the focus of pervious books in this series. I also loved how the death of sibling and that grief was a strong element of this read. I also loved the mystery element that kept me guessing who was heath hall and the romance that was budding. It was such a engaging read and and one that i adored. ( ) I wind up loving this read. I have been disappointed with many of Kasie West's recent novels but I actually really enjoyed "Moment of Truth".. It was cute and fluffy but also dealt with serious issues such as facing your fears, grief and finding a voice. I loved the friendship and family dynamics in the book, especially Amelia and Hadley's relationship, and Jackson was a sweetie. Also, the mystery behind the Heath Hall mask wearer was surprisingly good. Overall, "Moment of Truth". provided a few hours of entertaining escapism in an otherwise fairly bleak world. Haley is a super achiever but no matter what she does, her parents seem to be obsessed with her dead brother. As Hadley faces some hard truths about her own feelings she also finds herself falling in love. There are bits of different stories... Echoes of you’ve got mail, and Ferris Buellers day off make the story more fun. Getting a new book by Kasie West is like going to your favorite summer ice cream stand, thrilled that it's open, but even more excited because they have your favorite flavor. You grab it, dive in and don't stop until you're on the last page. I started reading this one around 4 hours ago and like all of her other stories, I closed the cover with a smile. I knew Hadley and Jackson would eventually realize their mutual attraction, but how that came about, as well as who the masked mystery guy was, were masterful twists. Teens who like romance, as well as those who find themselves in the shadow of a sibling, will really like this book. Zeige 5 von 5 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen

At sixteen, Hadley Moore knows exactly who she isâ??a swimmer who will earn a scholarship to college. Totally worth all the hard work, even if her aching shoulders don't agree. So when a guy dressed as Hollywood's latest action hero, Heath Hall, crashes her swim meet, she isn't amused. Instead, she's determined to make sure he doesn't bother her again. Only she's not sure exactly who he is. The swim meet isn't the first event the imposter has interrupted, but a little digging turns up a surprising number of people who could be Heath Hall, including Hadley's ex-boyfriend and her best friend's crush. She soon finds herself getting caught up in the mysterious world of the fake Heath Hall. As Hadley gets closer to uncovering the masked boy's identity, she also discovers some uncomfortable truths about herselfâ??like she might resent the long shadow her late brother has cast over her family, that she isn't as happy as she pretends to be with her life choices...and that she's falling for the last guy she ever thought she would like Keine Bibliotheksbeschreibungen gefunden. |
