This is an excellent book for young readers wanted to identify Ohio's birds. There are fun facts about each bird highlighted as well as a real quick sidebar that gives facts about the size of the bird as well as what part of Ohio the bird is native to and whether or not they visit bird feeders. The birds are divided up by what the predominant color their feathers are and this is helpful for young readers.There are also recipes in the back for making homemade snacks for birds as well as making a bird feeder. A checklist of bird spotting is also included as well as a glossary. I would recommend this for any collection or person looking for a great beginners guide to bird watching and identification. ( )
