I loved the illustrations; the animals look so menacing on the pages with incorrect animal facts and then they are so cute and fluffy on the pages with the correct animal facts.

I always love books like this because they share facts with children in a fun way.

I still think centipedes are creepy, you can't change my mind on that one. I was surprised you didn't include the creepiest bug of all, the earwig, yuck.

All in all, a fun book about some misunderstood animals and insects. ( )

The Not Bad Animals by Sophie Corrigan is a delightful children's book with quirky illustrations that looks at thirty-eight different animals usually thought of as 'bad', from ants and seagulls to scorpions and hyenas. Each animal is first looked at through cultural misconceptions and erroneous 'facts', followed by a look at it through the lens of science. The drawings were just adorable! I liked that the artwork differed slightly between the folk beliefs versus the scientific truth. My cubs and I read this together and we all enjoyed it!
