"Tell me about when you were little!"
This book is all about the childhood of James Stevenson; the author.
When he was nine, he loved to ride his bike and play with his dog named Jocko. He still remembers his phone number 3348 and what his old phone looked like. His father played music for him after work and his mother read books at night to him. James explains that he still remembers hearing the train horn at night. He even explained that he listened to the radio for fun, because there was no television. James even remembers swimming during the summer at his grandmother's house who lived near a beach.
James had a little side business where he collected the news from the neighbors and made a newspaper called "The Neighborhood News" that he sold. He even did all the hard work to make copies of his newspaper without a copy machine (which the book explains it step by step).
James reflects just about everything he loved during his childhood in this book. He has a great childhood and loved every bit of it.
The art is drawn in such a way that it gives off the vibe of a dream or flashbacks, which was exactly what James did. This book simply just retells James' childhood. It is a very simple book.
This book could be a start of how to write your own autobiography for children. ( )
