I have finally come to the point where I have outgrown them. Yet, I have seen this book around and did want to check it out. Luckily, I did as I actually really enjoyed this book. I was fully invested in the story as well as the characters. It was a fast read. The gang, Nobody, Signal, Kate, Javier, and Erik are all great. Characters that are relatable and people that I would not mind being around. There is a hint of romance in the story but glad that it did not really pick up at this time. I think it would have distracted a bit from the overall story. Which as the story progressed, it really picked up and moved quickly. I look forward to reading book two and continuing this journey with the gang. Thank You to NetGalley and Crooked Lane Books for this ARC!! Seventeen-year-old Signal Deere is convicted of her best friend Rose's brutal murder, she's designated a "Class A", the most dangerous and manipulative criminal profile. To avoid prison, Signal signs on for a secret program for 18-and-under Class As and is whisked off to an abandoned sleep-away camp, where she and seven bunk mates will train as assassins. But Signal doesn't fit in and neither does she manage to take part actively in the camp because unlike her other campers, she is innocent. I just loved this book because its so different and unique!! Its an amazing YA adventure which keeps you hooked on till the end. Initially some of the characters creep you out because they are just teenagers who actually like killing but gradually through the book you start liking all of them. The mystery of Rose's death keeps you guessing right till the end. And the ending... what do I say... It just makes me cry out for a sequel. Highly recommended!! This audiobook was addicting. From the minute I started it, I couldn’t stop. I listened to it all in one day with my full attention. Standardized testing in school is nothing new, but what if they weren't just testing your knowledge, but your personality, looking for those students who might show violent tendencies, or mental illness, or serial killer tendencies. People now known as Class A’s . Signal, the resident goth girl is a loner, with just one friend, until that friend winds up dead and the only suspect is Signal. After conviction Signal is looking at a lifetime of prison, or take a job that will probably kill you young. This job includes preying on those serial killer tendencies to take out targets of value to the government. But before the first assignment, comes training camp. And I mean camp, in cold cabins and everything. Think camp Crystal lake before Jason. But when your camp activities are dismembering fake bodies and trying to hide the remains, you better get it right, or your might be the next remain. This book is about more than blood and guts. There is a true mystery, and a love triangle that keeps the story moving. Plus lots of blood and guts for those of us that like it. In a way it reminds me of #Murdertrending and Clown in a Cornfield while at the same time being completely different. This book was so much bloody fun I am highly disappointed I have to wait for the next one. But I do know for sure that I will not be deleting this audiobook because I see myself revisiting it before book 2 arrives. Zeige 4 von 4 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen

Well that last line was hilarious!
What an exhilarating ride! A training camp for teen killers? I mean what's not to be excited about when Signal, an innocent teenager, is dropped in with these Class A ultimate murderers. Day one task: Dismember and dispose of a life-like dummy. I loved the killers themselves too, particularly 'Nobody'. You kind of get a bit charmed by them and their sassy teen vibe, right up until they prove just why they have been deemed Class A, and then you are like holy smokes Batman, they are stone cold killers! Heaps of fun with a twisty murder mystery woven in there too. ( )
