There is no text version. It's 3 hours which is about 75-100 pages of text equivalent. The genre is long form journalism and/or featured radio with sound effects between chapters and other speakers being interviewed. I liked it a lot, the production, content and topic, it's immersive like a 3 hours NPR show. It involves Goodell on an Antarctic ship which is taking a team of scientists to the calving face of the "Doomsday Glacier" (Thwaites) which no one has ever done before this trip. They are the first human beings to see it up close from sea-level. Photos are taken of the sea-floor and they discover something amazing. Radio beacons are strapped to the heads of willing (?) seals who transmit back sea temperatures for a year. They play ping-pong and listen to the Rolling Stones and laugh at ridiculous tweets by Trump. No one talks about global warming, it's not good conversation. Goodell does not hold back. The seas will rise 3 to 6 feet by 2020, it is not a matter of debate or discussion. The difference between 3 and 6 is huge, the difference between adaptation and abandonment of cities around the world. He travels to Norfolk, New York, Lagos, Miami - front line slow motion disaster zones. How much it rises is very much dependent on what happens at Thwaites.
