This poem, 72 pages, 14 cantos, was written 19th March to 28th August 2020, and in my hands sometime in late October I think. It felt fresh and vivid to read as it reminded me what was happening just a few short months ago. All the days are the same in lockdown, and yet, they are not. The news changes, the government screws up, the exact limits of our freedom change from week to week. We try to say safe, whilst yearning to see friends, socialise, get out more. I felt like this poem captured the flavour of Spring and Summer 2020, and in the future will remind me of the ups and downs of that period. at the time I read it in Nov 2020 things were easing up, but as I write this note in Jan 2021 we are back in stricter lockdown waiting for vaccines. It's been such a strange and awful time, and I'm glad someone captured the early part of it so well. ( ) keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
