I've read all three of this author's books and my favorite thing about her suspense thrillers are not so much that you are on the edge of your seat about "whodunnit" because you pretty much know which characters are more twisted than the others. It is her wry humor in every book, the way she tells the story, the wit of the characters (twisted or not) is clever and I often find myself smiling even as people are getting murdered. (Maybe I'm twisted.)
In this story, we know Teddy has "issues." He's been caught in lies by more than one person. But is he the only one unhinged?
It's a multi-layered plot with underlying themes of parental expectations, what wealth can do to a person, and how teachers affect students lives.

I really liked Teddy. Even though he’s a serial killer, I found him endearing. Everyone else annoyed me and maybe that’s why I was rooting for Teddy the entire time. The book is easy to read, but there are a lot of characters that you jump around to, and I found that to be a bit too much. The ending was underwhelming and made me dislike a character that was just kinda meh up until then. ( )

Ah I love a book about a Prestigious School with rich bratty kids. You know the minute a minor wind blows they will go nuts. This is book was no exception, especially when the bodies started piling up T Bellstone Academy.
Lucky for them the Teacher of the Year, Teddy, takes his title seriously and he proves to be a very eccentric character. He thrived on glasses of white milk, a big no for me lol.

I loved the short characters, the multiple povs, involving many characters. Each character was highly developed.

Almost. This book was almost there. alas, it fell short and the full circle ending was just disappointing. ( )

The only author I can think to compare to the experience I had reading this book is Liz Nugent. Samantha Downing is definitely in the savage category too!

I kind of love a book where there’s nobody really “good” to root for. I hate to admit this, but I kind of wanted Teddy to get away with it. He’s so evil, but being in his head I was just like- hell yeah go for it! And I knew it was on the table because in a book like this, any ending is possible.

I respect the fact that no character is safe- death is on the table for any and everyone. A very fun read- and I will read more from this author! ( )
