As the pictures show, Sato didn't really become a rabbit; he's a boy in a rabbit suit. His adventures are equally whimsical fantasies. He takes a bath in one half of a walnut shell and lies down to sleep in the other half. If you're in the mood for that kind of thing, the pictures are cute and the stories are amusing. If you give this book to a child, know the child. Some of them will appreciate being invited to share the joke; some will reject this book as silly. ( )
