Pepper Page: Saves the Universe is a bit like a love letter to comic book fans. Here, Pepper reacts how a normal person would when suddenly thrust inside a crazy situation inside a beloved comic book with powers and all to be exact.

The art style is the real merit here! I though the artwork was very stylized, impactful, and colorful. On the other hand, the story, the characters, and the big bad felt weak to me. every villain doesn’t have to have a backstory. Killian believes helping others is just a waste of time. Reminds me of Yu Yu Hakusho where one the villains grew up with loving parents and a great childhood but decided to become evil just because. Some fools just evil.

I would be interested in a book two, but I thought this was overall very lackluster. The Supernova stuff confused me a bit. If anyone understood it, feel free to comment on this review. Supernova question: 1. so, she was always Supernova for real and somehow she got separated from the comic series, which is why she's an orphan and had such an infinity for the comics? 2. when she got transported through Killian machine, the Magic Babies rewrote her existence to truly be Supernova. 3. some other explanation.

what confuses me is how does the comic series exist before Pepper? is this the egg or the chicken situation? or, is it too late, and I'm not making sense? ( )
