-- Peter Pan Through the Years essay by Carrie Sessarego - 2.5*
I'm not sure I buy the reasoning we are still re-telling the Peter Pan story but maybe if I did as much research as the author of the essay I would come to the same conclusions. What do I know?!
And now I'm ready for a re-read of Brom's version.
--History in Pieces by Beth Goder narrated by James Houston - DNF
The narrator was too rough for me. Full Scottish accent. I will trial visual.
-- Read the visual and meh. A first contact story told out of order.
-- The Failed Dianas by Monique Laban, narrated by Kate Baker - 3.5*
That was a good story. Simplified... Parents cloned their daughter each
-- We'll Always Have Two Versions of Pteros by Dominica Phetteplace - DNF at 60%
The story is told by multiple characters, maybe even multiple timelines of characters which wasn't obvious when I was listening to the story but checking out the visual, I see it now. A character realizes/thinks he is in the wrong timeline but the supporting characters are having a hard time believing him or coming into believing him or helping him. There are too many details, too much jumping around. I've lost interest.
