This is one of the most engaging nonfiction books I’ve read. It’s so easy to relate to, to empathize with, to laugh with. The easy-flowing conversational style is what makes this book come alive.

Sharing personal experiences in her life, Mary Katherine Backstrom (MK) communicates how, in hindsight, she sees God’s hand working through the messy moments. Or as she describes it, “…a holy undercurrent beneath the chaos.” It is effortless for me to relate, because I too can sift through my life experiences (good and bad) and see how God pieces everything together in His way, in His time.

Not only is this book highly entertaining (the author has an enchanting sense of humor) but is also significant and meaningful. I love this book.

Holy Hot Mess is a light read with a lot of weight!
