Clever and intriguing. Full of suspense and there's a quest to gather allies to return for a final battle. Plenty of hot scenes but also detailed battle scenes and the gathering of characters from previous books in the series making for a satisfying reunion. Great end to the series. ( )

This is a very satisfying and exciting conclusion to this great paranormal series. I binged it, loving all the characters, and I'm so happy with the way it ended.
Our coven must confront the Ancients, primal beings who have been caged in their woods for years and have now been set free. The Ancients are led by Warfare and include beings such as Illness and Shame. Isaac sets out to find their counterparts in a bid to persuade them to help in the fight against their brethren. Meanwhile, Joanna, Callum, and Aiden are fighting to maintain the college campus.
I've really enjoyed the world of Candlefey and the diverse characters included therein. Not just the main characters, but the other coven members and the Scriven community. It's been a fun and unusual read in a different fantasy world. ( )
