This book stresses the point that the reader does not want to read the book. This book convinces a child that they do not want to read, yet they are actually reading. This a clever book for children who claim they do not like to read. The narrator says there are only words in books and many are "ridiculous". There are useful words such as cake and Youtube he will concede but he doesn't like words with silent letters such as "doubt". Paragraphs bother him as well because they are made up of words especially long paragraphs really irritate him/her. By the book's end, the reader has read a great number of words. The illustrations are mainly use of colour to highlight points being made by the reluctant reader which in turn means he/she is reading the book. Karen Arendt rated "I Don't Want to Read This Book" with five stars--amazing. Nancy Behrendt commented with a title like that I had to read it. A few minutes later I wrote: Now that I've read it, I am going to have to buy it. "I Don't Want to Read This Book" is a great read-aloud book for kids. With the proper inflection, you will have kids laughing, and they might learn something. Zeige 4 von 4 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
