This book was about a young girl in a red cape going to see her sick grandmother. She has a basket of goodies and some flowers. Along the way a wolf stops her to see where she is going. The wolf is hungry and wants what is in the basket. As the girl goes to her grandmas bedroom, she notices that its not her grandma and the wolf eats her, as he did her grandma. Then a woodsman hears what is going on and kills the wolf and cuts grandma and the girl out of him. They are all well and alive.

I remember this tale when I was little, but never really liked it. Ever since the first time I heard it i wondered why couldnt the girl notice that it wasnt her grandma. I just never had the imagination for the book.

I thought that one thing I could do with my students would be to create, out of paper, a basket for their grandmas. Also, another activity could be to have them draw the wolf as they think he would look like if he was their grandma.
