Gray and Gigi have know each other all their lives and they both love to find ways to annoy each other they think it’s because he sees her only as his best friend’s little sister, but things are much deeper than that. Gigi thinks she despises Gray and the way he is always checking in on her at college, it’s supposed to be so he can keep his eye out for her brother, but their back-and-forth banter suggests feelings run a lot deeper than either one realizes. Gray tries so hard to fight his attraction to her for more than one reason and other is he doesn’t think he deserves anyone as pure as Gigi. He carries the weight of the sin of his father around with him and the pressure to be anything but his father. What Gray doesn’t realize is he is nothing like his dad and he only shows this vulnerable side to Gigi and she realizes how special he really is. Gray pushes her away so many times and at times cruelly it hurt my heart for Gigi, but she was just in too deep with him to truly let him go. This book was full of love, angst, suspense, and heart ache but it was beautiful when Gigi showed Gray how beautiful his soul was and deserving, they were of each other. ( )
