This is a book which is editied, but not translated. there is a glossary for the more difficult words, but if you have not an acquaintance with Middle English, you may want to avoid this book. i read it because i have parallel column translations of several other Middle english books and it wsn't that onerous a task. I did read this book as an act of completeness rather than out of love.
I should like to draw Library thingers to the software that places translators in the role of authors, on occasion. It is misleading in dealing with medieval materials, and jarring in the case of well known works, such as the Iliad, or Beowolf. Very jarring. Can someone in authority deal with this? ( )
