This is a good book to read to students since they may not know what to do when someone is being bullied. This is a story about a classmate watching Ray get bullied but he is not sure what to do. These bullies tried to intimidate everyone in class so that they would not tell. One day Ray missed school and one of his classmates decided to go tell the teacher. He knew his teacher was trust worthy and would listen to him. The following day Ray came back and his bullies were confronted by their teacher and the school principal. An end was put to his bullying once one person decided to speak up. When someone is getting bullied, most kids do not know what to do, or they are scared to say something. "Nobody Knew What To Do: A Story About Bulling" by Becky Ray McCain gives insight on what to do when there is a bullying incident. When a student is being bullied, it is important for someone to say something, because bullying is wrong a needs to be stopped. The author does a great job with how she tells the story of becoming worse everyday until the boy being bullied doesn't show up to school one day, and then goes into taking the appropriate steps to helping the child and stopping the bullies. This should encourage students to speak out and tell someone if another student is being bullied. This book may even stop bullying from happening. "Nobody Knew What to Do: A Story About Bullying" is about a little boy named Ray being bullied and how a courageous boy learns how to take a stand to help Ray. The boy watches Ray get bullied every day while the teachers aren't looking. One day, the boy saw and heard enough and decides to speak up for Ray and tell a teacher what has been going on. The teacher and principal help Ray resolve the problem and Ray becomes happier and more social in the end. This book is a very important read for children because it shows how important it is to stop bullying when you see it. This story shows that you don't have to directly confront a bully, but that you can just tell a teacher/principal and that is enough to help. Hopefully this story opens up children's eyes to the reality of bullying and some of the different ways to stop it. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
