It all began with a dream of making music and performing while dancing. Born and raised in Colombia, she enjoyed music, belly dancing, writing songs, and singing on stage. She spread her music with the many sounds and rhythms of the globe and became famous. Did you know that Shakira means Grateful in Arabic? She has established a foundation to foster education and more for orphans all over the Americas!
