Fiction. Romance. Western. Humor (Fiction.) HTML:The McBride brothers are in for a matrimonial surprise when an enterprising woman answers their little sister's mail order bride advertisement in this laugh-out-loud historical romance.

As the oldest of the McBride siblings, Morgan had to be protector and shepherd since Ma died and Pa ran off. It hasn't always been easy, especially when his heart longs to roam on the trail. But now that his brother Kit is married and settled, the time is right for Morgan to leave Buck's Creek. Little does he know that his hellcat of a little sister Junebug is dead set on keeping him at home and getting more help around the house â?? all with one honest advertisement in The Matrimonial News.

Ooof, Pip's feelings of insecurity made this a hard read for me, but I loved, loved, loved her and her grandmother. I was deeply delighted by these two prickly, stubborn personalities getting into and out of their own way. Great story, great to be with the McBrides again. ( )

The youngest McBride sibling is at it again: ordering a mail-order bride for the oldest McBride sibling without said hero knowing about it. This time, the one who answered is the heroine, who traveled to the hero's home to meet him. Along with her grandmother and her personal things, the heroine arrived to find out that the hero didn't know about her. The hero doesn't want anything to hinder him from going back to his cowboy career but has some personal issues he must go through before he can focus on his own happy ending with the heroine.

This is the second book of THE MCBRIDES OF MONTANA series. I've been looking forward to reading this addition to the series, and for the most part the story was good. However, my tolerance level to a particular McBride sibling was given a critical hit at the start of the story, and I began to not appreciate said character for the rest of the book, even if said character did have some good moments. This has dire consequences in my reading enjoyment, and I found that my patience level for some secondary characters also wearing thin as the story progressed. I did find the hero a tad unlikable in the beginning, but his growth in the book brought his likability factor higher. I liked the heroine more than the hero, even with her own personal issues. The author does have a nice writing style, and the story vibe was also nice. Overall, a nice addition to the series. ( )
