i liked the first one of these 3 novellas the best by far. it's the one that gives the characters more time to get to know each other, which apparently is something i need in these stories, even the shorter ones. the writing is fine in all of them but the second story felt so over the top i just couldn't take it, and the third had them going from strangers to marriage in 2 days which i can't abide. (otherwise, though, the skeleton of that one was actually probably my favorite.) i did like the bookish historical setting in all of these, but relationships that you move to another country for after mere moments together just aren't for me. (

These three novellas are quick and entertaining tales. In “Royal Wedding,” Molly falls in love with someone she has no right to love, only she doesn’t know that until it’s too late. In “The Attraction Distraction,” Sarah goes on a dangerous quest for artifacts but finds love instead. In “It Happened One Christmas,” readers will likely find similarities to an old movie, “It Happened One Night.” This story is every bit as good as the movie, except it has Santa Claus instead of Clark Gable. All three novellas are well written and lovely romances. (
