Chinese-American high school senior Honor Lo has spent her life in the public eye, on her family's TV show and on book tour. Honor narrates, with magazine articles, interviews, and online comments from a "snark" site throughout. Set in California, with visits to Brooklyn, Texas, and Kauai, EWTK gives readers an idea of what it's like to be famous - when that means your privacy is invaded and you can't trust anyone outside the family. Or even, it turns out, some of the people in your family.

Part train wreck, part dumpster fire, this made me really feel for the main character, Honor. I suspect there are plenty of teens from families far from being famous who would love to jump on the kitchen table and scream "will you please shut up and listen to me?" Sadly, she never gets to that point. I shook my head as I closed the back cover. ( )
