As the sequel to Dr. Illuminatus, Soul Stealer is an equally exciting YA read. With even more of an educational science twist, this book was a bit slower than its predecessor, but still contained a scary and heart-pounding climax. Gruesome descriptions of the spells and magical creatures make this book great for early YA to YA boys, as well as girls who like a thrilling read. As twins Pip and Tim enter the school year, things get more complicated, especially when their old pal, the alchemist's son, enrolls in their class.
