This story is about a Girl, Leah, and her friend Maxine but her friends call her Max. Max cant have internet so she goes over to Leahs house so they can play on the computer. Well one day they get on this website called Habbo Hotel and it is a online chat game. Both girls get an online boyfriend and they get closer and closer to them. But one day, Max couldnt find Leah so she thaought she was sick and at home or something. But a few more days went by and no one had seen her. They soon find out that Leah has been kidnapped. Max was really upset and she wouldnt eat, hang out with friends, she wouldnt do aything. In the middle of the book Max meets a cop and they set out to get this guy because they found out that he was Max's and Leah's online boyfriend. Their plan is to let Max and this guy meet up at the mall and the cops would get him. They did it and he was put in jail.

I LOVED this book! It was a book I couldnt put down. While I read this book I could feel how Max felt. This book is one of those that make you wonder what is gonna happen next and you just keep on reading. I like how Christina Kilbourne wrote the book as if she was Max. She told everything by they way things looked and felt like she didnt just say what it was and keep writing, she described everything. I rated this book a four because i liked it but i have read better books and I cant wait to read another of her books. ( )

This book is about a girl and her friend Leah. In this book Max and Leah go online to different sites and chat with online friends. During this process Leah and Max get closer and closer with their online boyfriends. Sooner or later Leah end up meeting her online boyfriend and ends up missing. Max is now devastated and doesn’t know what to do. Towards the end of the book the police get involved and have Max talk to her boyfriend to see if her online boyfriend is connected to or is Leah’s boyfriend.

I really liked this book. This book also made me very sad but, made me happy that they found Leah. This book was very interesting because there was so much mystery and suspense. I gave this book four stars because I have read better but it still was a joy to read. I felt very bad for Max because she was in the position where she felt it was her fault. I advise all those reading this review to go out and read this book. I really enjoyed this book and I hope you do too. ( )

I now fully understand why young teens (tweens), parents and teachers all love this book. For tweens and teens, Maxine's struggles to deal with the disappearance and eventual death of her best friend Leah at the hands of an internet predator are told in journal entry form that draw in young readers. For adults, the importance message about internet safety is well stated throughout this novel. My daughter (age 12) and son (age 16) both read this book and enjoyed it. My son thought the message was a "little preachy", but my daughter loved it so much she went on to spend 2 days of our camping trip reading the book aloud to her younger cousin. A must read for all tweens and teens! ( )
