Hannah Merrill is a young woman of means but not at all foolish who is volunteering in the library at the Endell Street Military Hospital in London. Which is why she is the one to find the body of Sergeant Tillman shot dead in the library. Then a young heiress volunteering as a nurse goes missing and another body is found. Hannah and her aunt have quite a lot of sleuthing to do amid the backdrop of war, probable espionage, and Scotland Yard. Excellent read! Zeige 2 von 2 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen

Who thought working in a library could be so dangerous? Confronted with a murdered service man and a missing heiress Hannah finds this exactly what she needs to keep her mind off of Darius’ new job as a spy. A highly entertaining story with a satisfying ending even as the shadow of war grows darker. ( )
