I liked this book because it was very different from most children's picture books. It told a story of a folklore that might be uncommon to most students so it was interesting to learn and read about. The illustrations were beautiful, they were also watercolor. The illustrations also covered the entire page with colored borders around them. The text was big and easy for learners to read. I also liked and thought it was interesting how there were no pages numbers in the book. The book had a talking dragon, which children will find hilarious and very cool. Overall the storyline was very interesting and had interesting concepts such as a cobweb to the moon, and how the main character climbed a silk rope. The book was good because it is very different and has a unique storyline. ( )

The moon is starting to crash into the earth. The Chinese emperor sets out to find someone that can climb to the moon and talk to the moon dragon about how to stop the moon from crashing to the earth. The emporer gives the small child min-yo a large diamond to give to the dragon for his help.while up on the moon Mind-Yo and the moon dragon discover that the moon is being weighted down by all of the diamonds that the dragon has collected through the years. Min-Yo and the moon dragon decide to throw the dimonds out into space. The dimonds sparkle beautifully in the sky making bright lights and what we now know as stars

This was the first time that I have read this story before I enjoyed it. I thought that it was a cute idea and good story on how stars came about and how the smallest person can manke the biggest difference.

classroom ideas:
1) Have the kids write about how they would had saved the Earth
2) Have the kis draw what they think lives on the moon.
