This book is about a young boy who wants a fish that he sees at the pet store on the way home from school everyday. Throughout the book, his sister helps him get ready to bring home his fish. They fill the fish tank everyday with more and more water. As the water is added, they both count how much water is in the bowl by converting liquid measurements. In the end of the book, he gets to bring home Ripley, the fish, but soon realizes that he added enough water to get two fish. The book is great practice for students learning liquid meaurement.
