Cymbala decries the proliferation of committees, programs, and meetings in churches instead of prayer and preaching under the power of the Holy Spirit. "Without this divine power and boldness we tend to shy away from confronting the world head-on. We retreat into discussions about how terrible everything is around us." He comes down hard on charlatans and frauds who promote the "latest trendy manifestations" or try to convince people they must claim promises, stand on them and deny reality.
