Light hearted social commentary where a group of state school children from a rough part of town are entered in a tetrathlon against a team from the posh school. A heartwarming, if slightly saccharine message, about how if you work hard and have grit then good things might happen. With the unexpected sub-message of 'well, it's sort of OK to cheat if they cheat first', which I wasn't expecting. The team is made up of a dreamy one, a hard one, a Sikh, and a girl, which always skirts the edges of clunky stereotypes (why, oh why, does so much of Nutty's story arc have to involve her losing weight, getting rid of her braces, and getting contacts, and then at the end going 'well, we'll play by the rules next time and just have boys'?) but which I enjoyed, and which even surprised me at points! ( ) At hawkwood school, Sam Sylvester is a theacher who want his student to try anything they want to do. His student,Nutty,Hommy,Jazz and Nails made a good teyrathlon team to win the Grtycoats school team. Especially Hommy couldn't do all thing and they had many troubles while practicing very hard, but finally... I was complicated while reading this book because it's had many characters, but I made a point of main four character. I am interested in tetrathlon and want to try it some day. Also I thought I should always set a goal for anything. Zeige 2 von 2 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
