![]() Keine Keine aktuelle Diskussion zu diesem Buch. ![]() ![]() The small series concludes in this second volume. The first story involves another heist, as the Man of Many Faces (a third grader) outwits the police by flooding a museum to acquire his artifact. As I mentioned in the review of the first volume, the thief story lines are secondary to the relationships between the characters. This volume goes even further, abandoning the original plot entirely to focus on the relationship between Akira and Utako. After the museum robbery, the Man of 20 Faces doesn't turn up to steal anything other than Utako's time and heart. The youngsters have their first fight when Utako is pondering her future wedding, and Akira innocently mentions that she will make some man very happy. Their first fight leads to the next step in their relationship, though, because once Akira realizes his blunder and overcomes his modesty, he is able to confess his love to her. After this climactic moment, the manga decides to wrap up the story for Akira and Utako. The next chapter fast forwards in time until Utako is turning sixteen. Akira's birthday present for her sweet sixteen is to propose, and she accepts. The story bumps forward again, two years, to the wedding taking place. The event is lovely, just occupies a few pages, and then the story skips ahead one final time. The last episode portrays Akira and Utako in the early days of their married life, and is utterly sweet, as one would expect from their relations in childhood. The story ends on a wonderfully uplifting note. While it's not a complex or developed story, it is funny and innocent, making for a light read that leaves a smile on the face.
