In many cases, the children want the parents to read to them, they do not want to go to bed because they want to play still, they want to hide from you, or they just simply want to give you a hard time. All of these things I just mentioned many families have in common! Children do not want to miss out on things, so why should they want to go to bed? And just like all of the children are alike in this way, the parents are alike in another way. For example, all of the parents want the children to go to bed and have the lights out! This is a good read to help families understand that some times, there are people out there who are going through some of the same things you and your family are going through; people do not have to be alone when facing things. We did not like this book at all. It had words like what a parent might say when their child does not want to go to bed and the words a child might say back. This might have been cool, but my kids like more narration with an actual story. ( )
