Macrocyclic molecules contain rings made up of seven or more atoms. They are interesting because they provide building blocks for synthesizing precise two or three dimensional structures - an important goal in nanotechnology. For example, they can be used to develop nanosized reaction vessels, cages, switches and shuttles, and have potential as components in molecular computers. They also have applications as catalysts and sensors."Macrocycles: Construction, Chemistry and" "Nanotechnology" "Applications" is an essential introduction this important class of molecules and describes how to synthesise them, their chemistry, how they can be used as nanotechnology building blocks, and their applications. Paige runs into a charming stranger while on one of her temp jobs and within three dates, they’re engaged. Unfortunately, since Paige is one of the Charmed ones, “happily ever after” just isn’t that easy.

I was honestly surprised by this book. Not by the story - unfortunately the description on the back gives away about three-quarters of the plot and the rest was pretty easy to guess - but that it was actually reasonably well-written and entertaining (sadly, many of the tv tie-ins I’ve read were neither). The characters are recognizable, the story fits easily into the show’s storyline, and it was a fun, quick read. Obviously it wouldn’t make much sense if you haven’t seen the show, but if you’re a fan, this book is an enjoyable way to spend time with the sisters. ( )

Paige has met her Prince Charming. Literally. Problem is he's from a magical community and has to marry a magical being by his birthday or all the non magical beings in his world will die. He has fallen in love with a non magical girl but is willing to put that aside to save his world. Can Paige live with their deaths, marry the Prince or find another alternative. ( )
