Zitate |
Die Informationen stammen von der englischen "Wissenswertes"-Seite. Ändern, um den Eintrag der eigenen Sprache anzupassen. Of all mankind's unpleasant habits, sheer and willful cruelty is the most base, the least forgivable and, when carried to its extreme, perhaps the most horrific. (Christopher Evans, page 15). The terrors of the future will not come from the drab repressions of an encroaching bureaucracy, but from the neon lights of a thousand supermarkets, the sounds of a million automobile accidents and from the public cremation of the dead astronauts as they return to earth. (Christopher Evans, page 141). | |

The most original "story" is John Sladek's Anxietal Register B, which is the most bureaucratic, kafkaesque example of the civil servant's craft I've seen imagined, but chillingly close to some forms I've had to fill out recently. ( )
