The World's End storyline by Claremont and Davis was a pretty good action/adventure story with, as always, great artwork by Alan Davis. The only part that had me re-reading pages to try to figure out what happened is that the story jumps from the Canadian Rockies to the Savage Land with no explanation (unless I am blind to it) other than characters entering a portal. We see Wolvering heading up to Canada, talking to a scientist about something mysterious, which is never mentioned again in the volume. Now that I think about it, Wolverine is not seen again in this volume. Maybe his story is in another collection; later in the book it is mentioned that he has become a mind-controlled assassin controlled by the Hand. Anyway, that part does not make sense and nor does it make sense why the humanoid dinosaurs in the book attack Wolverine and then the X-Men in the Canadian Rockies when they live in the Savage Land in Antarctica.

So, rant about nonsense over, the action after that point is quite fun. The two-part Mojo story that follows (art by Tom Raney) is also fun action/adventure stuff. Yes, Claremont's work is a bit repetitive--Mojo, X-Babies, etc.--but that is basically why we read Claremont, isn't it? ( )
