DebraParmley | Dec 29, 2018 |   The story is about a group of soldiers that get sent on a special mission to use cutting-edge technology to stop the Russian mafia from detonating nuclear bombs on US soil. The technology isn't very well understood, even by the scientists making use of it, and there are problems to be overcome. Plus, there's a crazy Russian trying to stop them from accomplishing their task. The ideas are new, with a "psychic plane" where people can come and go with the aid of special computers, travel at extremely rapid speeds, and manifest an "avatar", or virtual self, at a remote location. Fascinating story and very different from other books of Bob's that I have read. I'd love to know how much is fiction and how much is possible. (
